Accreditations
We attribute a large part of our success at Emergency Medical Care Inc. to our employees. Their dedication and devotion to our world-class pre-hospital care program ensured that we received accreditation through the Commission on Accreditation of Ambulance Services (CAAS). This organization sets the standards for the ambulance service industry in North America. We received CAAS accreditation in 2004, making us the first organization in Canada to achieve such an honour. Since then, we have proudly maintained these standards and have been reaccredited every year.
Our Medical Communications Centre was officially accredited in 2002 through the International Academies of Emergency Dispatch (IAED). This non-profit organization develops standards for medical, police and fire dispatching efforts throughout the world. Our dedication to exceed standards led to a successful re-accreditation for over fifteen years.
The EHS LF program successfully maintains accreditation with Commission on Accreditation of Medical Transport Services (CAMTS). CAMTS is a peer review organization dedicated to improving patient care and transport safety by providing a dynamic accreditation process through the development of standards, education and services that support their vision.
TeleHealth became the first telehealth organization to receive Accreditation with Exemplary Standing with Accreditation Canada. This is an accomplishment we are proud of and strive to maintain. Officially established in 1958, Accreditation Canada is an independent, not-for-profit organization that is dedicated to improving the quality of health care systems in Canada and across the globe through the rigorous process of accreditation.
